Can a family member who is a CNA take care of a family member and have medicare or medicaid pay for it?
August 21st, 2010
My mother has been diagnosed with dementia and needs round the clock care. She is bedridden and unable to take care of her most basic needs. My older sister, who doesn’t work, is taking care of her now.
I am being layed off from my current job due to the bad economic times. If I take a CNA course is there anyway that I could stay with her as a home health aid and Medicare or Medicaid pay for it.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
An Lpn or RN is more qualified call Hospice they will have an answer for you they are the best, and can refer you to the correct person hope this helps,
